KolFoxy Stuff like "Mammons War" and "Cosmos" is the reason why I love this band and their albums. They are heavy, but always have these perfect moments of beautiful. Favorite track: Mammons War.

And the music is killer. I’m a sucker for Ozzy’s voice, and I’ll be damned if this guy is nearly indistinguishable. And while some may cry foul, I’m just going to go with “this guy has a killer set of pipes”.

They’ve got riffs, riffs, and more riffs. There’s a lot of variety to the songs, and at the end of the day this is just plain some killer shit.

Is this groundbreaking? Fuck no, but I tell you what, I can’t stop listening to it.

Dunkler Meister 8.5/10 | Riffs, riffs, riffs everywhere and wherever on here. Massively underrated record that is very much capable of holding up to material from a gone-by era. There's no re-inventions of any kind to be found on here, but what Count Raven deliver speaks for itself and does the job timelessly. Favorite track: The Poltergeist.

Rainbow Harvest This 2009 album by Count Raven is now Album of the Year 2019 for me. The entire album is phenomenal. Favorite track goes to my NaShe-ra, Marie. Favorite track: Nashira.

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
